Getting involved

If you would like to get more involved with the school, then there are a number of ways that you can do this through our programmes for fundraising, work experience, student placements or by joining the Governing Body. If you are interested in any of these programmes please ring the named contact on the school number.

Work Experience

Fountaindale has provided work experience opportunities within our associated medical departments.  Work experience within our Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech & Language Therapy departments may be possible through application through the relevant Health Trust.  Due to the age and needs of our children, all work experience students must be aged 18 years or over.  Contact Jan Collins or Kelly Fedun for further information.

Student Placements

Fountaindale works closely with local universities and colleges in providing student placements as part of recognised courses and qualifications. This has included Teacher Training and Children’s Workforce Development Council (CWDC) courses.  Contact Jan Collins or Kelly Fedun for further information.

School Governing Body

In addition to parents and staff the School Governing Body is made up of two Community representatives and two Local Authority representatives. Community Governors are elected directly by the Governing Body, whereas Local Authority Governors are put forward by the LA. If you are interested in being part of the strategic development and organisation of the school and wish to discuss any existing vacancies on the Governing Body please contact either the Chair of Governors or the Principal in the first instance.
